Von okamo aus Berlin für die Universität Duisburg-Essen gestaltetes Logo-Design für das „Institut für optionale Studien“

The Institute for Optional Studies at the University of Duisburg-Essen asked okamo to develop its new logo. The new institute pursues the fundamental goal of providing students with both qualifications for their specific fields and professional skills for the marketplace. The institute was founded in 2007 as a central academic institution belonging to the University of Duisburg-Essen. Its duties include advising students on various aspects of studying at the university, creating bodies of information for the Internet, and consulting with the faculties, coordinators, lecturers and teachers. The new logo is to underscore the integrative aspect of the new institute with its three organizational departments and the tug-o-war forces that are aimed at providing students with a broader knowledge base. The circular, segmented discus that we developed for the institute combines both of these associations and retains the necessary compactness of the logo.
