EA decided to create a MySpace profile page for EA Play and maintain a presence in the heart of social networking in hope of motivating younger target groups for their EA Play Das Magazin für Digitale Unterhaltung: on MySpace. okamo was commissioned with the development of a concept for a design along these lines and with the implementation using MySpace CSS hack code. We took one step back again and combined a number of well-known design elements from EA Play with new, freely associated shapes, creating a sort of visual remix. It resulted in a wilder page that is more visually inconsistent with the mother page and concentrates on the apparently erratic choices users make when they design their profile pages. We used elements from the upside down visual from EA Play, kept the basic color scheme, but used the colors with greater distribution and created a new mood. The blog posts from EA Play are prepared and fed to our MySpace page using the Flash reader. Users can also see the playcast from the previous week in the video player.
